Infinite

This piece explores the values of light and dark complementing each other in balance and harmony. Objects inserted into woven pockets of delicate cotton yarn, stretch the limits of the fibre as they get larger, occupying more space in this small woven universe.

Hand dyeing techniques using natural dyes create the ombre effect from light to dark on the raw silk warp. A woven structure of plain weave cotton yarn intertwined with double weave pockets compose this piece.

Hand pounded metal copper domes live in woven pockets that spontaneously interrupt the predictability of the cloth, depicting what could be infinite possibilities of celestial bodies in a vast universe.
