disrupt.
This experimental piece, plays with the idea of hard objects not meant for cloth, disrupting the flow of thread under tension on a weaving loom. Exploring a double weave technique where two cloths are woven simultaneously to create space where these objects are introduced into the threads. Some laying peacefully in unison with the fabric and others distorting the tension and flow of the cloth.
Warp is cotton and linen fibres and objects include waste materials from a jewellery studio made of acrylic, brass and copper.
